about me
Word nerds make the best collaborators
I don't make the rules, but I do make sure users can get their tasks done and get on with their lives. I believe in straightforward, efficient, and transparent user experiences over "engagement". Let's be honest — more often than not, engagement content is noise in an already crowded market.
With evolving technology like generative AI, more digital content than ever will be produced at speeds we've never experienced. How can you cut through the sheer volume to reach your target audience with high-quality, well-performing, and usable content? I predict content strategy will be more valuable than ever before. After all, who else knows what users need, and can balance that with what your business wants to deliver the right content, for the right reasons, at the right time, and in the right format?
I'm actually all for AI to add value at scale in a business context, and I think it's critical that content weirdos have a hand in guiding how that plays out. Instead of using AI to replace lorem ipsum, let's use it to analyze customer feedback at scale, delivering insights and aggregate sentiments. Let's use it to unburden customer support teams and allow them to solve complex human problems. Let's write schema and metadata with it so our content is understood by robots. But let's remember what makes content worthwhile to begin with — thoughtful, original, and well-researched insights delivered by people who know what the heck they're talking about.
I'm a person who cares about people. I care that they can do what they need to do with ease. I care about creating content that is inclusive for platforms that are accessible. I'm a linguist and not a grammarian. I believe words create the universe[1], and creating content is a privilege. This page is more about me as a person; if you want to get to know my work, head over to my portfolio.
